Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Site Leader to oversee all engineering tasks within our building. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the technical team and fostering a high-level safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance team and all automated sorting and conveying systems, material handling equipment, and building systems.
  • Ensure maximum availability of all equipment and implement modern maintenance approaches like Condition Based Maintenance (CBM).
  • Ensure round-the-clock troubleshooting of all technical systems.
  • Implement necessary safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture within the team.
  • Facilitate continuous development of the team's hard and soft skills to support Amazon Operations' growth.
  • Develop concepts for ongoing optimization of all equipment according to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Participate in strategic decisions as a member of the site leadership team.
  • Lead and support technical Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
  • Plan and adhere to the maintenance budget for the site.
  • Evaluate relevant KPIs to analyze technical systems and internal processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience leading maintenance teams.
  • Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Industrial maintenance experience, preferably with automated equipment.
  • Knowledge of modern maintenance concepts.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication abilities.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of logistics center maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems.
