Position Overview: Technical Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a skilled Technical Maintenance Manager to oversee our operations. This role is pivotal in managing technical site operations and ensuring all engineering functions within the facility are executed effectively. You will lead a dedicated technical team, fostering a culture of safety and excellence. Your primary goal will be to maintain high equipment availability while collaborating with the European engineering team to facilitate future advancements. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving cross-network improvement initiatives and implementing new standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance team and manage all automated sorting systems, conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and facility systems.
  • Ensure maximum equipment availability by applying modern maintenance strategies such as Condition Based Maintenance (CBM).
  • Provide continuous troubleshooting support for all technical systems.
  • Implement essential safety standards and cultivate a proactive safety culture within the team.
  • Encourage ongoing development of team members in both technical and interpersonal skills to support operational growth.
  • Formulate strategies for optimizing equipment performance based on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Contribute to strategic planning as a member of the site leadership team.
  • Lead and assist in technical projects, both Greenfield and Brownfield.
  • Manage and adhere to the site maintenance budget.
  • Analyze relevant KPIs to assess equipment performance and internal processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in leading maintenance teams.
  • Proficient in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, particularly with automated systems.
  • Familiarity with contemporary maintenance methodologies (CBM, TPM).
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Team-oriented with effective presentation skills.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing technical projects.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and building systems within a logistics environment.
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems.
