About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Project Manager to join our Corporate Sustainability team at ABOUT YOU. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our sustainability strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement corporate due diligence obligations to prevent human rights violations and environmental impacts in our company and supply chains.
- Programme manage our due diligence obligations in a PMO role, including leading review meetings, coordinating deadlines, and preparing and following up on them.
- Manage annual external textile standard audits on the company side.
- Programme manage extended producer responsibility for textiles, specifically clarifying new legal requirements from our markets, reporting, and developing prevention plans.
- Further develop our sustainability strategy by providing a consistent translation of new legal requirements for our company and implementing action plans with internal and external stakeholders to reduce risks and utilize opportunities.
Requirements
- University degree and more than 2 years of experience in the field of sustainability.
- Experience as a project or multi-project manager to achieve agreed results within a timeline, experience in a consultancy or other fast-paced working environment is beneficial.
- Experience in working with legal requirements from the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, ESG reporting, in accompanying non-financial audits (e.g. conducting materiality analysis), as well as ESG risk analyses in accordance with the requirements of the United Nations Guiding Principles and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct.
- Enthusiasm for working with data (Excel, databases, dashboards) to gain insights and use them for transformation processes.
- Ability to work independently and on your own, set priorities autonomously, and enjoy effectively managing employees in our ESG matrix organization.
- Excellent German and English language skills.
