Our research employs genetic models to explore the molecular, immunological, and translational dimensions of pancreatic cancer. We aim to uncover the immune mechanisms that facilitate tumor progression and immunosuppression in vivo. Over the past decade, our laboratory has developed a rich repository of primary pancreatic tumors and cell cultures, utilizing various next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques and biological assessments to analyze their molecular characteristics and phenotypes. The projects focus on elucidating the immune landscape of pancreatic cancer, its influence on treatment responses, and identifying key, targetable drivers within the tumor microenvironment.
Your ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Gain insights into critical tumor-host and immune system interactions
- Conduct advanced in vivo experiments and extensive drug and genetic screening
- Master a variety of techniques in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, and bioinformatics to investigate cancer
- Utilize bioinformatics tools for analyzing RNA sequencing, DNA sequencing, and proteomics data
- Integrate datasets with molecular, phenotypic, and clinical information
- Collaborate within a diverse team of biologists, clinicians, computational scientists, and mathematicians
We seek a highly motivated individual with a Master's and PhD in biochemistry, biology, molecular/translational medicine, or related fields. Experience with biochemical and molecular biology techniques, proteomics, or bioinformatics is essential, along with a strong interest in the molecular facets of cancer research. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English are required due to the interdisciplinary nature of our work.
