Power BI Analyst & Consultant (m/f/d)

PHOENIX International Holdings GmbH is seeking a skilled Power BI Analyst & Consultant (m/f/d) to join our Competence Centre IT & Digital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the establishment of a comprehensive Power BI Service for the entire PHOENIX Group, collaborating with both domestic and international business partners as part of the Self-Service Analytics team within IT.
  • Oversee and enhance our service platforms, including Power BI Service (Azure Cloud), to guarantee stable operations and optimal performance.
  • Automate workflows utilizing PowerAutomate, PowerApps, and PowerShell to improve efficiency.
  • Create reporting solutions for the entire PHOENIX Group while aiding clients in data preparation and analysis.
  • Provide coaching and consultancy to business units, empowering them to develop their own reporting solutions and become proficient Power Users.
  • Design PowerAutomate flows for clients and assist them in constructing their own flows related to reporting solutions.

Candidate Profile

  • A university degree, preferably a master's in business informatics or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, with hands-on experience in report visualization, dashboard creation, and data preparation using PowerQuery, DAX, and SQL (certifications such as PL-300 or DA-100 from Microsoft are advantageous).
  • In-depth knowledge of Power BI Service Administration and PowerAutomate.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of business processes, along with practical experience in coaching and consulting business users.
  • Familiarity with complex data warehouse databases, including Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, R, or Python is beneficial.
  • Several years of experience in business intelligence, ideally with practical exposure to Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, SSRS, or Tabular Models with SSAS.
  • A collaborative team player with flexibility, self-responsibility, conscientiousness, customer orientation, and a results-driven approach; proactive, committed, and eager to learn.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent in English, with good German language skills considered a plus.
