Junior BCMS Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior BCMS Manager to join our team at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) that aligns with organizational objectives and follows a risk-based approach.
  • Collaborate with business and support functions to ensure effective and compliant business and IT resilience and recovery strategies.
  • Report findings to management and assist in trend analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support the team in reporting to authorities on regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to ensuring compliance with internal and external BCMS requirements, such as ISO 22301, GDPR, and industry standards.
  • Participate in planning and conducting third-party exercises related to business continuity and disaster recovery in the context of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
Requirements:
  • Completed studies in risk management, information systems, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Background in Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS), preferably in regulated sectors, with a focus on IT/Tech resilience and recovery approaches.
  • Foundational knowledge of BCMS standards (ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27031), risk assessment, and business impact analysis.
  • Familiarity with best practices around crisis management, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English.
  • Passion for organizational resilience, risk management, IT recovery strategies, and business continuity.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (up to 25%) when needed.
