About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our enterprise console team, responsible for developing and maintaining our high-scale game server orchestrator and other services. As a senior backend engineer, you will design, implement, and test scalable and reliable web APIs that power our enterprise console.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of web APIs that support enterprise console features and functionality.
  • Ensure high quality, performance, and security of backend code and infrastructure by applying best practices and standards, conducting code reviews, and performing testing and monitoring.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across the entire stack and provide root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver user-centric solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and share knowledge and expertise with the team.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and evaluate and adopt new tools and frameworks as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development, preferably with Go.
  • Strong knowledge in designing scalable and fault-tolerant web APIs, through modern principles like event-driven design.
  • Experience with K8S, distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD tools, and code quality tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in game development and building products for developers preferred.
