Your Role
We are in search of a leader for our blue team, tasked with threat surveillance, managing the daily functions of the Security Operations Center (SOC), supervising a team of security analysts, and safeguarding our organization's information systems. These domains will be significantly automated, with the majority of the team being outsourced. We are looking for a seasoned vendor manager with a technical background and a hacker's perspective.

Your Responsibilities
- Design and implement a state-of-the-art, highly automated threat detection framework.
- Lead and manage the SOC vendor team, ensuring alignment with the organization's security goals and standards.
- Guide the SOC vendor team in utilizing cutting-edge tools for automating security monitoring and assessments, collaborating with infrastructure and development teams to enhance the security lifecycle.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the SOC vendor team to foster high performance and professional growth.
- Develop strategies to mitigate hacking threats, drawing from a profound understanding of the hacker's mindset.
- Coordinate and oversee the response to security incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Supervise the detection, analysis, and mitigation of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of security events through various tools and technologies, conducting thorough analyses to identify potential threats.
- Generate and present regular reports on SOC activities and the overall security posture to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Manage SOC tools and technologies, ensuring they are current and properly configured to support security operations.
- Calculate and report threat indicators and hackability metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security operations center or a comparable cybersecurity role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Expertise in security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills in English across all organizational levels.
- Experience in integrating threat intelligence into SOC operations, including the collection, analysis, and application of threat intelligence data.
- Relevant experience in conducting proactive threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate cyber threats.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining security incident response playbooks and procedures.
- Solid understanding of security threats.
- Strong expertise in security-relevant processes, including infrastructure hardening and patch management.
- Experience with threat monitoring.
- Experience in conducting digital forensics investigations, including data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with vulnerability management and risk management tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability and eagerness to provide guidance on complex technology issues.
- Problem-solving skills in information security projects.
- Ability to work independently and resolve complex problems or situations based on multiple information sources.
- Strong understanding of network security, threat intelligence, incident response, telecom security, cloud security, and forensic analysis.
- Proficient in scripting, tool development, and implementing test automation.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a proactive and forward-thinking mindset.
- A passion for identifying and remediating security issues.
