Sustainability Reporting Manager

Collaborate with your team in the FS Assurance Services sector to develop ESG-related Internal Control Systems, particularly for financial institutions such as banks, leasing, and factoring companies, investment firms, and insurance providers of various sizes and legal forms.
Your Responsibilities
If sustainability is more than just a trend for you and you aim to contribute to transparency in reporting while helping companies tackle future challenges, you are in the right place.
- You will advise financial services clients on a strategic future topic: What makes sustainability reporting reliable? You will engage with this core question by assisting our clients in designing and implementing an ESG-related Internal Control System.
- Product Development: You will be part of our global KPMG ESG Service Community, working in interdisciplinary teams to create solutions for our clients regarding ESG-IKS. Additionally, you will continuously enhance and optimize these solutions, utilizing modern tools, testing them in practice, and adapting them to meet our clients' needs while considering current and emerging trends.
- Sales: You will play a key role in the internal and external positioning of the ESG-IKS solution, support various internal and external events, conduct client outreach, and maintain your internal and external network. This will help you develop into an expert in the field.
- Leadership & Training: You will lead project-based interdisciplinary teams, fostering their personal and professional development on-the-job. You will also share your experiences and expertise across projects within FS Assurance Services, creating a multiplier effect.
- Project Management: You will be responsible for the technical and administrative aspects of various consulting projects, ensuring they are executed within the agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- As a (Senior) Manager (w/m/d) in Sustainability Reporting, you hold a degree in business administration or a related field, preferably with a focus on sustainability.
- You possess extensive knowledge of relevant sustainability standards (CSRD, Taxonomy, Disclosure Regulation, etc.) and are well-versed in the regulatory landscape, trends, and facts surrounding sustainability, driving internal and client initiatives.
- Additionally, you have a strong understanding of processes and controls, along with knowledge of banking processes in general and annual financial statement processes in particular, including Internal Control Systems.
- You bring several years of experience in consulting for financial institutions, demonstrating a structured, process-oriented, and goal-driven approach, along with experience in managing complex projects and leadership roles.
- Ideally, you can provide evidence of experience in auditing sustainability reports or non-financial statements.
- You possess excellent analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to present results convincingly.
- A high degree of teamwork, commitment, initiative, and communication skills rounds out your qualifications.
