Electrical Design Engineer for Dry-Type Transformers

Transformers Design and Development Opportunity

Hitachi Energy Germany AG is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Transformers Design and Development Professional. This role is part of our Power2 Trainee Program, a unique journey that will take you through three 6-month long work assignments, with the second assignment being an international placement, and conclude with you establishing yourself in a permanent position with our company.

Your Responsibilities

  • Participate in the electrical design of dry-type transformers, focusing on cost-optimal solutions
  • Engage in interactive simulation activities, including electromagnetic, electrostatic, and surge voltage simulations
  • Contribute to cost-out projects aimed at reducing costs or increasing performance
  • Analyze measurement data to optimize calculated losses, short-circuit voltages, sound pressure levels, and excess temperatures
  • Collaborate with your mentor to calculate costs and assess risks

Your Background

  • You have completed studies in Electrical Engineering
  • You are eager to learn about dry-type transformers, electrical calculation processes, and tools
  • You possess knowledge of the Finite Element Method and software
  • You have a strong technical, analytical affinity, as well as a business mindset
  • You are independent, structured, and solution-oriented, with a creative approach to work and a quick learning ability
  • You are fluent in English and have a minimum B1 level of German knowledge
  • You hold a valid permanent work permit to work in Europe
  • You are required to have international mobility for your assignments
