Electrical Design Engineer for Dry-Type Transformers

About the Role
HITACHI ENERGY GERMANY AG is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Germany. As a key member of our R&D function, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of dry-type transformers.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the electrical design of dry-type transformers, focusing on cost-optimal solutions
- Conduct interactive simulation activities to analyze electromagnetic, electrostatic, and surge voltage
- Collaborate with the team to reduce costs or increase performance through cost-out projects
- Analyze measurement data to optimize calculated losses, short-circuit voltages, sound pressure levels, and excess temperatures
- Work with your mentor to calculate costs and assess risks
About You
- You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering
- You are eager to learn about dry-type transformers, electrical calculation processes, and tools
- You have knowledge of the Finite Element Method and software
- You possess a strong technical, analytical affinity, as well as a business mindset
- You are independent, structured, and solution-oriented, with a creative approach to work and a quick learning ability
- You are fluent in English and have a minimum B1 level of German
- You hold a valid permanent work permit to work in Europe
- You are willing to relocate internationally for your assignments
