We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to building a robust and scalable data platform that empowers our traders and analysts.
Your Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain an innovative data infrastructure that supports real-time energy trading operations.
- Create and implement algorithms for automated trading strategies and data-driven services to enhance our traders' decision-making capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with trading experts to design customized solutions and applications tailored to the specific needs of the energy market.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of incoming data by implementing robust monitoring and management processes for data interfaces.
- Continuously explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance our data architecture, trading workflows, and analytical capabilities.
- Possess a strong academic background in informatics, engineering, natural sciences, business informatics, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a keen analytical mindset and exceptional organizational skills.
- Have a solid understanding of mathematical valuation methods, modeling techniques, and commodity trading principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python3, Spark, and SQL, along with experience in API design.
- In-depth knowledge of database architecture and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Fluent in both German and English.
- Prior experience in the energy industry is highly desirable.
