About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Solutions Team Leader to join our EMEA Airlines Services team at Amadeus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a unit of highly skilled and functional team members in delivering tailored solutions to our EMEA customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership
    • Organize and manage support on developed solutions, both internally and externally
    • Support technical solutions design and conduct feasibility studies
    • Propose viable technical solutions to customers for validation
    • Coordinate unit, package, and non-regression tests of the software
    • Be accountable for operational excellence of the team
    • Ensure coherent and robust technical architecture in line with company principles and with customer requirements
  • People Leadership
    • Assist, guide, and motivate team members. Set and follow-up objectives for individuals. Ensure effective utilization of individuals' capacity and check frequently on quantity and quality
    • Manage HR activity and procedures related to this area. Ensure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding organizational information. Report on team activities. Conduct annual appraisal interviews
    • Provide guidance to employees and colleagues. Development of their teams based on continuous assessment on needs
    • Foster and support team within Airline Services Engineering sites
  • Thought Leadership
    • Support the Engineering Service vision towards the team and how it can be leveraged to bring value to existing solutions and develop/implement services strategy
    • Develop an agility mindset internally and agile collaboration with customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's in computer science or engineering (software development)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience (in airline and/or travel domain related)
  • Excellent knowledge and practice in agile methodologies (Scrum required, SAFe preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and previous experience in customer-facing activities
  • Good knowledge on Airline Solutions Digital vision and existing solutions (products, DxAPI, DES, Competency Centers)
  • Good knowledge on Web and client-side technologies (Angular, React, REST/JSON APIs usage,...)
  • Familiar with complete product development lifecycle including production support
  • Prior experience in managing a team and/or remote site is a plus
  • Prior experience in prioritizing roadmap items for delivery
  • Familiar with working in cross-functional teams (product management, development, QA, customers), understand team dynamics and priorities of each functional stakeholder and work with them to meet deadlines
  • Must be assertive, able to resolve conflicts and gain consensus in a cross-functional team
  • Technical and domain knowledge, should appreciate business priorities so as to understand and appreciate dependencies in a distributed product development environment and resolve dependencies
