Logistics Operations Manager

The role is centered on executing the Operational Readiness mission and managing resources in alignment with Army Preposition Stock (APS) requirements. This position oversees Fleet Readiness at a Battalion level, ensuring compliance with Ready for Issue and Configure for Combat (CfC) standards as per Army Regulations. The incumbent will interpret the Modernized Table of Equipment (MTOE) and Modernized Configuration of Equipment (MCoE) to uphold APS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Directly reports to the Supply Manager, providing analytical support for logistical standardization to enhance prepositioned fleet management oversight and ensure adherence to contractual obligations. Ensures comprehensive logistical oversight at the Company level. Capable of working autonomously or collaboratively within a team. Maintains a responsive interface with the USG customer to meet mission requirements and expectations. Conducts regular counseling and performance evaluations of personnel to ensure necessary qualifications are upheld. Manages multiple operations concurrently, providing updates on cost, schedule, and mission performance. Oversees the management of prepositioned stock fleet in accordance with Army Regulations and contractual stipulations. Identifies and achieves specific mission/project benchmark goals. Plans, coordinates, and briefs up to Battalion level command and staff. Collaborates in the development of Concept of Support/Course of Action briefs, APS-2 Set Annual Issue Exercise requirements, and issue plans in accordance with contract specifications. Monitors and analyzes Taskers, operational activities, and departmental metrics. Plans and coordinates multiple mission requirements, including APS Set R1 & S1 Readiness levels. Supports the sustainment program through operational analysis, planning, maintenance, and readiness reporting. Acts as a liaison among all functional departments to achieve cohesive outcomes. Distributes mission guidance for all operations/taskers. Develops and implements strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall quality of the maintenance program. Creates, manages, monitors, and produces Operational Concepts of Support in response to mission or unit challenges. Provides oversight of Readiness Control Analysis to maintain direct communication with all supporting Material Readiness Center and Logistics Operation Center sections to meet benchmark goals. Analyzes historical data, monitors performance benchmarks, and develops continuous improvement programs within the functional area. Identifies ONS, Taskers, prioritizes, assigns responsibilities, resources, manages, and monitors the implementation of processes based on PWS requirements. Develops and publishes weekly Operational Readiness reports in compliance with Army Regulations and PWS requirements. Enhances current processes and procedures, including new tracking methodologies. Monitors all MTOE, MCoE, and WRSI stocks and configurations managed by functional areas in accordance with PWS and ARs. Conducts research on data entered into AWRDS to ensure all discrepancies are accurately identified and rectified. Evaluates MWO's / SOUMS / GPA's for accuracy and discrepancies, ensuring outstanding messages are addressed with appropriate recommended actions. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of relevant civilian or military experience is required. At least 5 years of supervisory experience is essential.Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to interpret and implement local policies effectively. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook is necessary. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others. Proficiency in logistics LIS systems such as GCSS Army, LMP, and LIW is advantageous.Certification, License & Clearance:
Citizenship is required. Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Passport. Must meet and maintain all base access security requirements. A Secret Clearance is mandatory.Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively. Must be capable of working in extreme environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures. Ability to endure long hours and exposure to weather and hazardous conditions is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Preferred Qualifications:
Army Logistics MOS is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration/Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
