Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced System Engineer with a strong emphasis on motor technology for aerospace applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in the comprehensive analysis, verification, and validation of motor systems tailored for aircraft. Your proficiency in aerospace regulations, supplier coordination, and embedded systems will be vital to the advancement of cutting-edge motor technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a thorough understanding of motor systems, encompassing electrical, mechanical, and software elements within the aerospace sector.
  • Establish and define system-level requirements, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards and client specifications.
  • Lead the verification and validation processes for motor systems, including the creation of test plans, execution of tests, and analysis of results to guarantee performance and safety.
  • Work with external suppliers to oversee the development and integration of motor components, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations of supplier documentation, including requirement specifications and testing protocols.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify and address system-level challenges, applying robust engineering principles.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of system engineering methodologies and tools, focusing on motor systems in aerospace.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in aerospace standards and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to improve motor system development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering within the aerospace sector, particularly in motor development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of aerospace standards and regulations, specifically concerning motor systems.
  • Experience in verification and validation of safety-critical systems, ideally in the aerospace field.
  • Familiarity with supplier management and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
  • Knowledge of electronics and embedded software development relevant to motor systems, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for addressing complex systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to varied audiences.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the design and analysis of motors, covering both electrical and mechanical dimensions.
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering practices and tools.
  • Understanding of aerospace hardware development processes and quality standards, including DO-178 and DO-254.
  • Knowledge of safety assessment methodologies such as FMEA and FTA.
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools and configuration management systems.
  • Experience with system-level integration and testing of motor systems for aircraft.
