Vestas is seeking an experienced Offshore Shift Lead to join our team in the operation and maintenance of offshore windfarms in Northern and Central Europe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all offshore operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of services to our customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Offshore Operations Management: Oversee all offshore operations, including production planning, performance management, and maintenance planning.
- Employee Line Management: Manage and develop a team of offshore employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties effectively.
- Performance Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Contingency Planning: Develop and implement contingency plans for vessel operations, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Windfarm Downtime Management: Manage and control windfarm downtime, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Safety Culture: Promote and lead a positive safety culture, ensuring all employees adhere to company safety protocols.
- Turbine Inspections: Conduct regular turbine inspections, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Focus on continuous improvement, identifying areas for process optimization and implementing changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Electrical Degree: Hold an electrical degree from a technical school, college, or university.
- Language Skills: Possess good English and German language skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Professional Experience: Have at least 5 years of professional experience with electrical systems, in wind or offshore, with a focus on high-voltage systems.
- Leadership Experience: Have at least 2 years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving results.
- IT Skills: Possess basic IT skills, with experience using SAP and MS Office.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
