Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Unreal Engine Developer to join our team at THQ Nordic. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality game experiences using Unreal Engine 4.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Production, Art, and Audio, to bring our game vision to life.
  • Develop and maintain sustainable workflows to support Art and Gameplay features.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Participate in establishing coding standards and best practices to maintain efficient coding practices.
  • Evaluate and mentor other programmers on the team to improve game quality and team efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our game development process.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong programming skills, with a focus on C++.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and PC/Console development best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • A positive attitude and passion for game development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous leadership or mentorship experience.
  • Experience with real-time strategy and/or role-playing games.
  • Authorization to work in Germany/E.U.
