The Team:
Within the Engineering division, the Product Analytics & Data Sciences team plays a crucial role in providing analytical support and strategic insights to product and engineering teams. Our mission is to deliver a comprehensive product perspective throughout the organization, empowering teams to make informed, evidence-based decisions. We transform raw data into valuable analytical assets by conducting thorough exploratory analyses, identifying anomalies, validating assumptions, and constructing statistical models. Our findings are communicated through compelling narratives and actionable recommendations.
The Role: As the Analytics Strategy Lead within the dynamic Product Analytics & Data Sciences team, you will be pivotal in shaping and executing initiatives that establish a robust analytical framework, generate impactful insights, and enhance decision-making processes. This influential position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to pinpoint business objectives, translate them into analytical needs, and oversee the execution of analytical projects. You will also facilitate data-driven discussions among stakeholders, utilizing effective storytelling to present significant insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Formulate and implement data analytics strategies that align with organizational objectives, ensuring the development of a scalable and efficient analytical framework.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams to comprehend business goals and convert them into detailed analytical requirements.
- Program Management: Oversee the development and execution of analytical projects, ensuring successful delivery that meets business needs. Monitor and evaluate key metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of analytics initiatives and identify improvement opportunities.
- Product Telemetry: Partner with product and engineering teams to identify essential signals that support downstream analytics and establish processes for effective product telemetry.
- Data Governance: Develop data governance policies and standards to uphold data quality, integrity, and security within analytical projects. Advocate for best practices in data management and compliance throughout the organization.
- Facilitation and Advocacy: Foster data-driven discussions and decision-making across the organization, serving as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Insight Delivery: Organize and lead regular meetings to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, consistently enhancing the organization’s analytical capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience as a Data Product Manager, Product Strategy Manager, or a similar role, with a focus on developing and implementing data analytics strategies in a B2B enterprise product environment.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques, including data modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization. Familiarity with software such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage projects, and drive initiatives that align with strategic objectives.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to present complex data insights through effective storytelling.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building relationships and facilitating collaboration across diverse teams.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
