About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AML Compliance Officer to join our team at StoneX. As a key member of our compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior management and compliance teams to develop and implement a robust AML/CTF framework across the organization.
- Ensure that policies, procedures, and controls are in place to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, and that they are communicated to all relevant staff.
- Perform gap analyses of current policies and procedures against relevant AML/CTF regulations and guidelines.
- Review and investigate suspicious transactions and reports, and escalate to senior management as necessary.
- Prepare and submit external reports on AML/CTF matters to regulatory authorities.
- Monitor the provision of outsourced AML/CTF services and escalate any concerns to the service provider and senior management.
- Provide regular updates and management information to senior management on AML/CTF matters.
- Establish and maintain ongoing internal monitoring, testing, and reporting on the effectiveness of the AML/CTF program.
Requirements
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in compliance and AML.
- Good organizational skills.
- Sound knowledge of German financial crime laws, regulations, and industry practices.
- Strong analytical mind.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and thinking outside the box approach.
- High level of integrity.
- Ability to cope with stress and display flexibility towards designated tasks and time.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Good knowledge of German and English.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
