About the Position:

The Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) is seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral research fellow to join our team in Berlin, Germany.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled researcher with expertise in organic synthesis and fluorescence spectroscopy to work on a project focused on the chemical synthesis of novel fluorophores and their applications in single molecule Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) and state-of-the-art fluorescence microscopy.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, synthesis, and characterization of novel fluorophores
  • Development of single molecule FRET and fluorescence microscopy techniques
  • Collaboration with the Milles Lab and Broichhagen Lab to advance the project
  • Publication of research findings in top-tier scientific journals

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or related field
  • Strong track record of accomplishment in organic synthesis and fluorescence spectroscopy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High personal motivation to excel in science
