Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grid Manager to join our team in Germany. As a Senior Grid Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the development, construction, and operation of our wind farms and PV projects.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be the first point of contact for all general technical grid issues and advise your team colleagues, project developers, construction teams, and operations teams on the optimal design of our grid connections.
- You will regularly analyze and optimize our internal grid connection planning and grid connection request processes and adapt them to the requirements of the various grid operators.
- You will work closely with our project developers, operations teams, and strategy team to develop complex concepts and strategies for grid-optimized project development and the grid-optimized operation of wind and PV parks.
- You will be the primary point of contact for grid operators on all general technical, normative, and organizational topics.
- You will identify developments and changes in standards and laws at an early stage and participate in committees and standardization committees to bring in the perspective of system operators and adapt our internal processes at an early stage if necessary.
- You will conduct complex analyses and studies on grid bottlenecks and similar topics or support external engineering offices and experts with such tasks.
- You will lead your own projects or participate in cross-departmental project teams.
- You will take on individual tasks in projects such as grid connection inquiries.
Requirements
- You must have a successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineering specializing in electrical engineering.
- You must have several years (at least 5 years) of relevant professional experience in the planning of power grids, particularly 20/30kV and 110 kV, wind and solar parks, or similar infrastructure projects.
- You must have experience in working with grid operators, consultants, and engineering firms.
- You must have experience in committee work, such as standardization committees VDE, BDEW, FNN, etc.
- You must have comprehensive knowledge in the application of relevant technical standards and guidelines, particularly VDE 41XX.
- You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with people at different hierarchical levels.
- You must be able to work in a team and have an interest in interdisciplinary tasks, combined with the ability to build sustainable working relationships in project teams across regions and functions.
- You must have project management skills and the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks independently.
- You must be business fluent in German and have good English skills.
- You must have a valid driving license and be willing to travel on business, usually for one day.
