Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Project Engineering Germany department as a Grid Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing grid connections and ensuring the optimal design of our grid connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage grid connections and support project developers, construction teams, and operations teams in the optimal design of our grid connections
- Analyse and optimise internal grid connection planning and grid connection request processes
- Develop concepts and strategies for grid-optimised project development and operation of wind and PV parks
- Support grid operators in general technical, normative, and organisational issues
- Participate in cross-departmental project teams and take on individual tasks in projects such as grid connection enquiries
Requirements
- University degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineering specialising in electrical engineering
- Relevant professional experience in the planning of power grids, wind and solar parks, or similar infrastructure projects
- Experience in working with grid operators, consultants, and engineering firms
- Experience in committee work, e.g. standardisation committees VDE, BDEW, FNN, etc.
- Good knowledge of relevant technical standards and guidelines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and build sustainable working relationships
- Project management skills and ability to plan, organise, and prioritise tasks independently
- Business fluent German and good English skills
