We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our global speaker cost optimization efforts. As Director of Global Speaker Cost Optimization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve profitability across our speaker product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a global cost optimization strategy for speakers, including projects and products, from design to manufacturing.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, ensuring alignment with R&D, manufacturing, and technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with engineering groups and other stakeholders to drive value creation through cost reduction and feature enhancements.
- Establish and manage a 2-year rolling VAVE pipeline with SBU leads, ensuring timely execution and delivery of cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and maintain common work practices, procedures, and design standards with engineering and manufacturing teams to achieve cost excellence.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in world-class best practices related to material cost and manufacturing cost.
- Set objectives, measure performance, conduct appraisals, and develop team members through coaching and counseling.
- Identify technology opportunities beyond specific divisional or platform spaces and develop a point of view on standards in the specific area of expertise.
- Support the speaker product line lead in delivering cost-effective speakers and driving profitability improvement.
- Hire, coach, and develop high-performing talent, ensuring the success of each team member.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to motivate staff while driving improvement through innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in product development engineering, mechanical parts, and speaker industry preferred.
- Engineering/program management leadership experience in leading and coaching large multi-site teams.
- Global product development experience.
- Proven consistent success in delivering cost-effective products.
- Proven experience collaborating with design engineering, manufacturing, finance, sourcing, and product management members and coordinating activities among team members.
- Proven key leadership traits and skills: collaborative work style, integrity, creativity, objectivity, assertiveness, effectiveness, responsibility, honesty, reliability.
- Advanced degree in engineering, business, or management/leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
