About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Manager to join our team in Düsseldorf. As an Application Manager, you will be responsible for the integrated, consistent, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet customer and business expectations and agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the lifecycle management process, ensuring the stability of related IT applications and infrastructure.
  • Liaise directly with the Uniper business to understand service requirements and ensure strong relationship management with stakeholders.
  • Aptitude to understand the impact of changes from a technical and business point of view.
  • Develop and maintain automation platforms.
  • Coordinate solution delivery alongside agile sprints and over the full life cycle.
  • Collaborate with other areas on digitalization and automation.
  • Quality assurance of delivery, test preparation, and execution, including UAT support and operational enablement.
Requirements
  • IT Consultant with technical and functional skills and with professional experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure (IaaS/PaaS), CI/CD tools like GitLab, Azure DevOps pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with container virtualization, especially with running containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with agile delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) is a plus.
  • Scripting skills via Python and/or BASH for use in automation of daily tasks would be a plus too.

  • Very strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Very good inter-personal and verbal/written German and English communication skills (Chairing meetings, facilitating workshops, preparing and sharing outcomes).
  • Ability to work well in and with teams of different nationalities and cultures based in different locations.
