Responsibilities:
The Application Manager will be responsible for the integrated, consistent, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet customer and business expectations and agreements. This includes working with Uniper's IT internal and external suppliers in the lifecycle management process, ensuring the stability of related IT applications and infrastructure. The successful candidate will also liaise directly with the Uniper business to understand service requirements and ensure strong relationship management with stakeholders.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have IT consulting experience with technical and functional skills, as well as professional experience in a similar role. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are essential. The candidate should also have hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure (IaaS/PaaS), CI/CD tools like GitLab, Azure DevOps pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code. Experience with container virtualization, especially with running containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus. Scripting skills via Python and/or BASH for use in automation of daily tasks would be a plus too.
Personal Attributes:
The successful candidate will have very strong conceptual and analytical skills, a collaborative attitude, and the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders. Very good inter-personal and verbal/written German and English communication skills are required. The candidate should also be able to work well in and with teams of different nationalities and cultures based in different locations.
