We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at tesa, a leading manufacturer of adhesive tape solutions. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our competitiveness by conducting frequent, assertive negotiations to ensure a stable material supply and manage material prices in a volatile supply market.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently form and finalize supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with our company's strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies, synthesizing insights from the company, business units, and procurement teams.
- Transform these strategies into material category strategies and ensure their successful implementation, driving business growth and competitiveness.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, fully understanding their unique requirements and needs.
- Collaborate across departments and countries to create and implement effective procurement solutions, driving innovation and efficiency.
- Conduct regular market research to stay ahead of market trends and ensure our procurement strategies remain competitive.
- Ensure strict adherence to our product development processes and procurement guidelines, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in economics, chemistry, or engineering, with several years of relevant professional experience in an international, industrial context, preferably in the chemical industry.
- An experienced negotiator, assertive and skilled, with a proven track record of success in procurement and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with modern procurement processes and systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with value engineering/cost modeling methods and tools, as well as material category management and product development processes.
- Proven experience in cross-functional and international project management, with a strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
- Fluency in Business English, with proficiency in German a plus.
