A thriving economy relies on a secure banking framework. The role of banking supervision involves scrutinizing the operational activities of credit institutions and upholding investor trust. Our audit teams play a vital role by conducting thorough on-site evaluations at various institutions and their service providers, both domestically and internationally. Auditors are tasked with assessing the effectiveness and suitability of IT risk management practices and the IT processes of these entities in accordance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities: Your Role with Us
  • Participate in audits of financial sector entities, particularly credit institutions and (cloud) IT service providers, both in Germany and abroad.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of IT risk management and IT processes based on regulatory frameworks, especially DORA.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in areas such as IT security (including network security, cryptography, vulnerability management, penetration testing), application development (covering design, programming, testing, and deployment), and IT governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Conduct independent analyses of corporate documents and (cloud) IT service providers within the European regulatory landscape, engage with their personnel, and prepare comprehensive audit reports in both German and English.
  • Present audit findings to the supervisory authority and the institutions being audited.
Required Qualifications: What You Bring
  • A Master's degree or equivalent in (business) informatics with outstanding academic performance.
  • Relevant professional experience in IT security is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills to navigate and evaluate complex processes.
  • A confident and engaging presence, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for audits at various locations.
