Job Title: Environmental Manager

Job Responsibilities:
  • Represent the common interests of our members from the electrical household appliances industry and position ourselves vis-à-vis authorities and environmental policymakers in Germany and Europe.
  • Develop position papers and statements on regulatory policy issues in close consultation with representatives of the household appliances industry, e.g., on energy and environmental policy.
  • Chair expert committees with a technical focus as a platform for exchanging opinions and experiences on current developments in the areas of standardization, eco-design, and economically relevant legal issues.
  • Develop and expand existing topics and identify new topics.
  • Represent ZVEI in industry associations, particularly the European umbrella organization APPLiA, participate in the corresponding committees, and implement relevant European industry positions in Germany.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a university degree, preferably in engineering or economics. Applicants with a degree in politics, communications, or law are also welcome, but should bring special interest and affinity for technical topics.
  • Analytical and strong communication skills, organizational talent, team ability.
  • Interest in technical and legal connections.
  • Initiative, flexibility, and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to structure and present complex issues in a clear and understandable way, as well as to represent and implement them securely vis-à-vis third parties.
  • Fluent language skills in both spoken and written German and English.
