About the Role
Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized customer service, responding to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Drive sales by making product recommendations, demonstrating products, and engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to visual merchandising standards and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling sales, returns, and exchanges with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, and processing incoming and outgoing product flow in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
- No specific education required, but a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 2 years or less of experience in a retail sales or customer service role.
- Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone.
Working Conditions
- Frequently work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires constant movement and may involve physical or strenuous activity.
- Occasionally work in a seated position.
- Ability to clearly communicate with colleagues and customers.
- Availability to work a flexible, often changing retail schedule to support business needs.
