Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician North Sea - Troubleshooter to join our team at Siemens Gamesa. As a key member of our offshore wind turbine maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on our North Sea wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on wind turbines, including electrical and mechanical system checks and repairs.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues with wind turbine systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Develop and implement advanced troubleshooting techniques and best practices for wind turbine maintenance.
  • Lead small teams of maintenance technicians and trainees, providing guidance and support to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including documentation of work performed and technical issues encountered.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of electrical or mechanical education or training, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Several years of experience in the wind industry, preferably in offshore maintenance.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including GWO standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work in a 14/14 shift pattern, with the ability to adapt to changing work schedules and locations.
