A challenging role for a skilled AIT Process Engineer

OHB System AG, a leading space company in Europe, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced AIT Process Engineer to join our team in Bremen. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the generation of AIT standard documents, definition of standard AIT processes, and standardisation of working methods.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain AIT standard documents, including Work Instructions and AIT document templates
  • Define and implement standard AIT processes to ensure efficient and effective production
  • Standardise working methods, including process verification, work instruction, and procedure references
  • Ensure seamless integration with company-wide IT tools, such as SAP, PDM, and Polaris
  • Continuously update generic AIT documentation, including the AIT handbook
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to employees
  • Implement a permanent improvement process, including Lessons Learnt
  • Collaborate closely with other disciplines, particularly Process Qualification Office and Quality Assurance, to ensure delivery of high-quality Work Instructions on time
  • Coordinate training efforts for AIT

Your Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a degree in production engineering or a related field, such as space technology
  • Substantial knowledge in production, preferably gained in space technology
  • Familiarity with applicable space standards is a plus
  • Process-oriented mindset and a sense of responsibility
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
