Risk and Compliance Expert

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Risk Manager to join our Risk and Controls team at ABOUT YOU. As a Senior Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of our enterprise risk management, controls, and outsourcing strategies. Your regulatory expertise will contribute to our goal of providing outstanding financial services while maintaining the highest compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- You will oversee the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risks (including the outsourcing domain) across the organization, and provide guidance and support for effective risk management.
- You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, different business units, and external partners to ensure effective communication and implementation of risk management initiatives.
- You will support the implementation of a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework as well as create and maintain clear documentation.
- You will prepare data and analyses as part of risk management and outsourcing reporting to the Management.
- You will continuously monitor and optimize risk processes and the performance of outsourcing partners to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
- You will be actively involved in the development, implementation, and monitoring of standards and processes for the central outsourcing management.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify outsourcing needs and opportunities.
- You will stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in risk management and outsourcing as well as FinTechs.
Requirements
- You have a degree in computer science, law, economics, or a comparable course of study.
- You have a proven experience and track record (5+ years) as a Senior Risk Manager and/or Outsourcing Manager in the FinTech or Financial Services Industry.
- You have a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance, in particular FinTech and IT, as well as good knowledge of practice-relevant standards such as ISO, ZAIT, MaRisk.
- You have outstanding problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- You are fluent in English (German is a plus), both written and spoken.
