Closing Process Consultant for IFRS 17

Your Role
As a pivotal member of our team, you will serve as the central coordination point for IFRS 17 quarter-end closing activities, liaising with both local and international teams to ensure the smooth collection of closing deliverables and necessary approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the IFRS 17 closing calendar, ensuring timely data submissions to the consolidation system.
- Plan and coordinate the loading of actuals data, while monitoring the completeness and consistency of data throughout all processing stages across various financial systems.
- Track validation rules and implement quality assurance measures to uphold data integrity.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of control reports to support operational efficiency.
- Manage late adjustments and escalate any issues that may impact the quality or timeliness of reporting.
- Collaborate with IT to coordinate central and decentralized data deliveries, including necessary data and interface modifications.
Your Qualifications:
- A degree in business administration, economics, information technology, mathematics, or insurance business administration, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and reporting, ideally within a multi-GAAP framework.
- Strong understanding of data processing, analytics, and management.
- Proficient knowledge of financial systems interfaces and data warehousing, including SAP and Power BI Solutions.
- Experience in process design and monitoring to enhance operational workflows.
- Accounting or actuarial expertise in insurance or reinsurance, with a preference for knowledge of IFRS 17.
- Fluent in English, with additional German language skills considered an asset.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
- A proactive approach to tackling challenging topics in a dynamic environment, with a keen interest in contributing to the establishment of a new team.
