Senior Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to oversee our financial operations at Finow Rohrsysteme GmbH. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and evaluate financial statements and reports in accordance with German GAAP (HGB).
• Accounting Oversight: Assist in managing daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Department Management: Direct the daily activities of the accounting team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Account Reconciliation: Supervise and conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Closing Processes: Ensure timely and precise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Audit Management: Coordinate audits and collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Internal Controls: Develop and uphold internal controls to protect assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Policy Development: Assist in formulating and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise accounting personnel.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed on changes in accounting regulations and standards.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate efficiency, propose, and implement enhancements in accounting processes and risk management.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Steuerberater) is highly preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics 365) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in German and English at an intermediate or higher level (B2-C1).
• High integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Understanding of tax regulations in Germany.
• Familiarity with financial software and reporting tools.
