Overview of the Role

The Compliance division collaborates closely with various business sectors and oversight functions to ensure adherence to both domestic and international laws and regulations relevant to Clearstream Banking AG and its operational activities. This division plays a proactive role in pinpointing potential compliance or reputational risks, particularly those associated with new business initiatives and products.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Compliance Officer, you will provide guidance to the IT department regarding compliance obligations and evaluate whether the necessary controls have been effectively established and executed. Through ongoing advisory and monitoring mechanisms, the IT Compliance division aids in ensuring that the organization meets its compliance objectives, thereby mitigating compliance risks and preventing issues.

  • You will assist in the development of a risk-oriented IT Compliance control strategy and carry out compliance assessments.
  • You will generate control documentation and monitor the resolution of identified issues.
  • You will evaluate the implications of regulatory mandates on banking IT systems.
  • You will keep abreast of regulatory changes at both national and EU levels.
  • You will compile internal reports and presentations, as well as documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Additionally, you will support the IT department in meeting compliance requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • A university degree in business informatics or a related field with a strong affinity for IT.
  • Proven experience in the establishment of compliance controls.
  • Familiarity with pertinent legal and regulatory compliance standards and associated risks.
  • Background in the financial sector, particularly within compliance or information security.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • High degree of initiative, dedication, and enthusiasm.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
