Supply Chain Operations Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team at Lilium. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing the operational battery pack supply chain activities for aircraft suppliers and supply packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage component suppliers end-to-end, from forecasting and planning to purchasing, supplier development, and monitoring, delivery to final payment.
  • Be responsible for on-time delivery, supplier schedule, supplier capacity, and change implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with all related departments to achieve goals and support business strategy.
Day-to-Day Activities
  • Support cross-functional teams to identify and assess potential suppliers and take them to serial contract signature.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive contracted suppliers towards industrialization of new products.
  • Ensure readiness of the supply base by launching capability assessments and capacity audits at relevant suppliers.
  • Implement proper risk management to avoid disruption to the supply of battery pack components.
  • Drive recovery actions internally and at suppliers in case of non-performance.
  • Manage inventories and establish a global warehouse and distribution plan in close collaboration with the logistics team.
  • Work with the Supply Chain Quality Team to ensure compliance with necessary quality standards.
  • Establish, measure, and monitor supply chain-related KPIs.
  • Participate in APQP activities.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Engineering and/or Business Administration Degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain or technical project management roles. You should have excellent communication and leadership skills, a can-do mindset, and a customer-centric approach. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of German is beneficial.
