Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Pricing Strategy and Market Insights, you will oversee the global marketing and pricing strategy for all division products, including intermediates and specialty materials.
Your primary objective will be to optimize profit margins while ensuring maximum capacity utilization. This requires a keen understanding of market trends on both the cost and sales fronts, allowing you to formulate effective go-to-market strategies. You will also be responsible for business development, establishing pricing processes that maximize value and mitigate the risk of losing business.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Establishing, reviewing, and executing monthly pricing targets. Developing a cohesive global pricing framework and strategy, along with a standardized pricing process. Creating analytical tools and dashboards to monitor cost and sales price trends, track business performance, and provide support for financial oversight. Leading integration projects focused on developing standardized tools and processes while promoting collaboration across teams. Formulating a market intelligence strategy. Conducting competitor analysis and market assessments to support the transition towards a more sustainable industry. Capturing relevant market insights and translating them into actionable knowledge for marketing and sales teams. Monitoring market and cost trends to inform optimal go-to-market strategies.Qualifications
MBA or equivalent qualification in a relevant field. A background in consulting is advantageous. Over 10 years of experience in related sectors. Proven project management skills and international experience are essential. Expertise in strategic marketing, particularly in pricing and cost management within the commodity sector, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional communication skills with a strong focus on partnership. Ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines while managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.WHY LANXESS?
