Import Logistics Customer Service Representative

Company Overview:

S&you is a leading shipping agency that represents the interests of an international shipowner in Europe. We are currently looking for a dedicated Customer Service Sea Freight Import Specialist to join our team in Bremen.

Position: Customer Service Sea Freight Import Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and booking orders related to container shipping, including necessary documentation
  • Managing bookings with an emphasis on hazardous materials and oversized shipments
  • Overseeing a diverse customer base, both nationally and internationally
  • Facilitating the release of imported containers at various ports across Germany and Europe
  • Tracking and billing demurrage charges for delays in loading or unloading at terminals, as well as fees for expedited cargo handling

Qualifications:

  • Completed education, preferably in shipping, international logistics, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar position or international setting is advantageous
  • Proficiency in both German and English is required
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a team
