Software Development Engineer

Project Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join our team at K-tronik GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development of control systems and computers for civil aviation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop PLD/FPGAs for embedded systems in the aerospace sector
  • Implement technical requirements and specifications in digital circuit designs
  • Conduct design reviews and verification of PLDs/FPGAs
  • Evaluate, document, and communicate verification results
  • Develop safety concepts and test them
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop hardware-related software applications
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
  • Professional experience in FPGA development with VHDL or Verilog
  • Practical knowledge of ModelSim, Xilinx Vivado, RivieraPro, or comparable tools
  • Experience in developing safety-critical products according to standards such as DO-254, MIL-STD, ISO26262, etc.
  • Programming skills in C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink
  • Excellent knowledge of English and basic knowledge of German
  • Strong analytical and structured work approach, with the ability to work in a team
  • Scripting knowledge (e.g. Python, Perl, tcl) and experience in the aerospace industry, especially with DO-254
