Role Description
The Department of Neurology is seeking a dedicated individual for a full-time Postdoctoral position, initially limited to one year with the possibility of a two-year extension. The successful candidate will join research groups focusing on 'CNS Lipid Metabolism in Health and Disease' and 'Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation'.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments
- Analyze, interpret, and present data
- Co-supervise undergraduate students, research assistants, and interns
- Prepare scientific publications
Qualifications
- PhD (or equivalent) in biology, immunology, neuroscience, or a related field
- Eagerness to learn new techniques and explore scientific domains, with intrinsic motivation and independence to contribute ideas to the project
- Ability to work collaboratively within the research group and across projects
- Experience with animal models of human diseases, alpha-synuclein biology, and molecular biology is advantageous but not mandatory
