We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Engineer to join our Managed Operations team at Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH - C92. As a Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our software systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and troubleshoot software systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Develop and maintain documentation and processes to improve operational efficiency
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24x7 system availability
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies and processes
- Experience maintaining software systems or related fields
- Experience with monitoring frameworks (such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Elastic or similar)
- Solid understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals
- Experience decomposing complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
- Experience proactively solving problems before they occur
- Familiarity operating services in AWS
- Experience actively mentoring junior engineers
- Familiarity in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, or Ruby to automate tasks
- Familiarity across common technology domain areas, such as hardware, software, networking, and operating systems
