**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Syncreon. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures.
About the Role
- You will work closely with our logistics and operations teams to drive innovation in data processing and analysis.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations excellence, finance, HR, sales, and procurement, to support business objectives.
- You will work with our senior IT shared services leadership team to ensure alignment with solutions and services.
- You will maintain good relationships with procurement and finance to support company policies and processes.
- You will support group compliance, group people, and legal in support of company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale data pipelines and architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business objectives.
- Work with senior IT shared services leadership team to ensure alignment.
- Maintain good relationships with procurement and finance.
- Support group compliance, group people, and legal.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Databricks and machine learning.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala (Pyspark preferred).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries.
- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Databricks Associate Certification required.
- Knowledge and experience in using the MS Azure Analytics Services, especially Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, FiveTran as well as MS Purview.
- Power BI knowledge preferred.
