MAM Gruppe is a leading provider of operational technology solutions for the energy sector.

We are seeking a highly skilled OT Engineer to join our team in Hamburg, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational and technical departments in maintaining and improving the reliability and availability of our offshore data centers, PLCs, and control systems.
  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve faults, and develop technical solutions to improve system performance.
  • Maintain and repair offshore data centers, PLCs, and control systems, and standardize and improve the predictive and preventative maintenance program.
  • Drive projects and changes according to company standards, and create, update, and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to understand their documentation systems and processes, and effectively interact with OEMs.
  • Assist in creating work scopes and bid packages, oversee aspects of plant outages, and support project scheduling in alignment with Operations and Maintenance departments.
  • Contribute to the technological development of the OT landscape, provide expertise for new projects, and adhere to ITIL, ISMS, and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Travel within northern Germany and work on-site offshore as required, upholding the company's Health and Safety values on-site, in wind farms, and office locations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or significant experience as an OT Engineer.
  • Extensive experience in OT and SCADA systems, and some experience in network operations.
  • Strong safety awareness and compliance with local regulations.
  • Commitment to ensuring facility reliability and availability, with flexibility for overtime and travel.
  • Strong personal, technical, troubleshooting, and fault isolation skills.
  • Practical experience with automation development (Bachmann solutions, EcoSui, Zenon), with a logical understanding of OT environments in critical infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken at C1, C2, or Native level fluency.
  • You are diligent and pragmatic, enjoying hands-on work with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You are a strong communicator and build relationships easily with your team.
  • You are a methodical and organized worker, managing your time and tasks with orderly structure.
