Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Team Lead to join our team at HSE24. As a key member of our digital teams, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our self-service BI solution, primarily using Power BI. Your expertise will help us drive business growth and improve decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Self-Service BI Solution Development: Lead the development and maintenance efforts of our self-service BI solution, primarily using Power BI.
- Budget and Licensing Management: Oversee budget allocations for BI initiatives and manage software licensing requirements effectively.
- Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate comprehensive knowledge transfer sessions with key stakeholders to ensure optimal utilization of the BI solution.
- Information Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to Information Security policies and standards to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
- Team Leadership and Mentoring: Provide guidance, mentoring, and disciplinary leadership to a team of up to 8 BI professionals, fostering their growth and development and a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Decision-Making in Data Modeling: Assist the team in making informed decisions regarding data modeling in Snowflake, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Semantic Model Design: Design and implement semantic models in Power BI to facilitate intuitive data exploration and analysis.
- SQL and DAX Expertise: Leverage strong SQL and DAX skills to optimize data querying and manipulation processes.
- Agile Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within multifunctional agile teams to deliver BI solutions in a timely manner.
- Retail Knowledge Integration: Utilize retail domain knowledge to enhance BI solutions and address industry-specific challenges effectively.
- Bachelor's degree: In Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience: >5 years in developing and maintaining self-service BI solutions, with a focus on Power BI.
- Strong understanding: Of budget management, licensing, and knowledge transfer processes and information security policies and best practices.
- Experience in disciplinary leadership: Managing a team of up to 8 BI professionals.
- Proficiency in SQL and DAX: With a solid understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts. Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
- Experience working in multifunctional agile teams: Preferably in a retail environment.
- Fluency in English: Required. German and other additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: With the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
