We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at the Institute of Molecular Vascular Medicine at the Technical University of Munich. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on the effects of Micro-and Nanoplastics on Atherosclerosis.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on the impact of Micro-and Nanoplastics on Atherosclerosis using state-of-the-art in vitro and in vivo models.
  • Investigate the role of Micro-and Nanoplastics in atherosclerotic plaque destabilization and identify the majorly involved cell type.
  • Analyze multi-omics data at the RNA and protein levels of human plaque specimens.
  • Determine the role of different types of Micro-and Nanoplastics in atherosclerotic disease progression.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in biomedical sciences, cell biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, or related fields.
  • Strong determination of mobility and curiosity to spend time in both labs in Munich and London.
  • Ability to work together with colleagues from various disciplines.
  • Inquisitive and passionate about research and knowledge transfer.
  • Excellent ability to communicate, present, and write in English.
