This crucial position places you at the center of the Transportation BU Marketing Team, part of a renowned provider of test and measurement solutions with strong connections to automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier one suppliers, all aimed at enhancing EV performance, quality, and time-to-market.
In your role as a Technical Marketing Manager, you will play a vital part in shaping strategic marketing initiatives, managing projects, and executing marketing plans that significantly influence market perception, generate demand, and drive business growth within the EV sector. Your technical expertise and industry knowledge will be instrumental in crafting persuasive marketing strategies and messaging, as well as producing impactful content that aligns with customer requirements.
Collaborating closely with the sales team, you will be key in fostering demand and facilitating business expansion. Your innovative mindset, organizational skills, and strong work ethic will contribute to the successful introduction of new testing solutions, making a real difference in the EV landscape. Key Responsibilities:
- Gain in-depth knowledge of target application segments, including technical and business requirements, competitors, and market trends.
- Understand the needs, challenges, and decision-making processes of target buyers within these segments.
- Collaborate with Business Managers to launch innovative products and solutions.
- Create and deliver engaging technical content, marketing materials, and event experiences that leverage marketing campaigns to influence market perception and customer choices.
- Develop and implement a sales enablement strategy, including training and support materials for the sales team.
- Engage with customers at various industry events and innovation centers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including managers, business development teams, sales, R&D, partners, customers, and industry media.
- Work with the global campaign team and other marketing members to monitor outcomes, enhance execution, and formulate strategic marketing plans.
Success Metrics:
- Revenue growth and performance within the business unit and segment.
- Effectiveness and delivery of marketing assets.
- Awareness of offerings within targeted market segments.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Technical knowledge of EV powertrain fundamentals, including energy storage and power conversion.
- 3-5+ years of experience in engineering, testing, or sales/marketing roles.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills in a global context.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Effective time management abilities and a robust work ethic.
- Based in a flexible work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the automotive or test and measurement sectors.
- Familiarity with the design, testing, or operation of EV powertrain components and systems.
- Experience in technical marketing, including Field, Product, or Solutions Marketing.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, primarily within the EMEA region.
