Job Summary

The Manufacturing Program Manager position is a key role within the Workforce Development department at Tallahassee Community College. This position reports directly to the Director of Business and Industry and is responsible for driving the short-term and long-term goals of the Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Center (AMTC).

Main Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the AMTC, ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service, efficient performance, and effective community outreach.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and develop the AMTC staff, providing guidance on work schedules, performance evaluations, and staff development activities.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement new programs and courses, goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the AMTC, in collaboration with the Director of Business and Industry and other stakeholders.
  • Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with community agencies, business partners, and other colleges and universities to foster the integration of education and employment training systems.
  • Financial Management: Develop and oversee the annual budget for programs, including monthly billing, closeout documents, and assistance with audits.
  • Training and Development: Design, manage, and deliver classroom or web-based laboratory or on-site training, and develop non-credit programs/courses for submission to the appropriate approval channels.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Manufacturing Technology, Materials Science, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two years of project management or related experience, with a preference for experience in a manufacturing setting, post-secondary teaching, or leading a technical program.
  • Skills: Knowledge of TCC policy and procedures, project development and management, office procedures, administrative principles, and best practices in training.
  • Abilities: Ability to market and sell training and other services, collaborate with other TCC employees, learn and use a HCM Application Network (Workday), interact with all levels of the public, and represent the college in a professional manner.
