Junior Site Reliability Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Role:

  • Utilize top-tier skills to secure, monitor, and manage highly innovative applications that are both horizontally and vertically scalable.
  • Assist in the software design process focusing on non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, stability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with your team to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of production systems, utilizing monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Work closely with relevant DevOps teams to enhance the systems and tools available.
  • Engage with our company-wide Site Reliability Engineer community to share insights, knowledge, and foster learning.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in managing large and complex deployments.
  • Proficiency in Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native deployments to Kubernetes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, or similar.
  • Experience in cloud-native monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages.
  • Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL or MariaDB.

Soft Skills:

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional and geographically diverse teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in promoting and implementing best-in-class Site Reliability Engineer practices and tools.
  • A strong team player with mentoring and coaching capabilities, recognized as an expert within the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in complex environments.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, managing fixes, outages, and project setups without losing composure.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, coupled with a passion for learning and a robust work ethic.
