As a Senior Capacity Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our vast logistics network operates smoothly and efficiently to delight customers. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for developing and executing robust capacity plans for our Delivery Service Partners (DSP).
Key Responsibilities- Build delivery station level DSP capacity plans, and act as the single source of truth for reporting on DSP demand
- Coordinate and direct execution of DSP capacity plans with partner acquisition teams based on the capacity plans
- Build a scalable and logical process utilizing historical data and DSP performance standards; building planning tools to ingest inputs from various stakeholders
- Lead reviews with operations leaders on capacity planning & partner with stakeholders to align on changes
You'll lead strategic discussions with senior leaders, drive alignment across various teams, and innovate capacity strategies through quantitative analysis and business judgment. Successful candidates will act as business owners, collaborating with stakeholders, driving results, and adapting swiftly to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
About the TeamThe EU Delivery Service Partner (DSP) team is responsible for managing and growing the network of professional contract organizations that power Amazon's in-house last mile delivery service. Our partners work out of delivery stations across EU and are assigned delivery routes and packages. The DSP Capacity Planning team is central to achieving the program objectives of DSP Last Mile Delivery. This team charts the strategy and plan to build DSP capacity across the delivery network.
Requirements- A degree
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
- Relevant experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Relevant experience in product management, program management, or vendor management, and/or supplier management
- Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
- A degree in business management, engineering, or supply chain and logistics
- Relevant experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or distribution
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as R, Matlab
- Proficiency in SQL
