Radio Access Network Engineer

We are pleased to inform you that Tata Communications Limited - Tcl is seeking a highly skilled Radio Access Network Engineer to join our team in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of mobile tower, antenna, and RRU construction standards and field implementation, as well as expertise in RAN expansion activities, RF/Tx planning, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement site installation designs based on infrastructure and RF survey inputs.
  2. Prepare site installation design documents, BOQs, and BOMs for wireless design.
  3. Deploy BBU, RRU, passive antenna, AAU, GPS, and RET cables in the field.
  4. Understand BBU, RRH, CPRI, jumper, feeder, DC power, RET cable, and external alarm connectivity at the field end.
  5. Have knowledge of battery banks, power plants, rectifiers, diesel generators, and mobile towers.
  6. Basic knowledge of transmission equipment, including fiber, microwave, MUX, Cisco routers, and SFP.
  7. Conduct infrastructure and RF field surveys.
  8. Prepare BOQs and BOMs based on infrastructure and RF survey inputs.
  9. Deliver end-to-end design services, including detail design, validating RF documents, and site designs.
  10. Communicate with stakeholders on rejections and corrective actions.
  11. Prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, and regulations for telecommunications equipment.
  12. Have knowledge of power allocation, DUS allocation, BBU allocation, and cabinet allocation.
  13. Experience with Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, and Samsung radio products is preferable.
  14. Experience with Mini lens, Rosenberg, wide-band antenna MQ4, CommScope, Huawei, Kathrein, and Argus RF antenna is preferable.
  15. Prepare cable schematics and plumbing diagrams.
  16. Create AC/DC power calculations as per power utility guidelines.
  17. Coordinate with field teams for additional data or clarification.
  18. Prepare BOQs and BOMs based on designs.
  19. Experience with MS Office, TIDE portal, APPIAN, Sitelopedia, and SAP is required.
  20. Language proficiency in both German and English is mandatory.
  21. Total experience between 6-8 years is required.
